Trinity Bible Church is an independent, nondenominational ministry that started with three families in 1974. Desiring to establish a ministry with strong Bible teaching and preaching to help Christian families and individuals conduct their lives by the Bible, these families were led to start a church in Greer, South Carolina. They purchased an eight-acre property that included an old farmhouse, which became Trinity’s first sanctuary. The first pastor was Dr. Bob Woodward (1975–77). Following him was Pastor Douglas Forsythe (1977–82).

As other believers started attending during these early years, the need for a new facility became apparent. As the Lord provided the funds, labor, supplies, and equipment, a new building was put up and the ministry continued to expand. When Pastor Forsythe had resign because of family health needs, Dr. Stewart Custer was asked to become the new pastor. That was in the fall of 1982.
Since then that small group of fifty has grown into a congregation many times that size but still remains a warm and loving church family. A large sanctuary was completed in 2000 and an activities center in 2007. Trinity offers nursery facilities, Sunday school classes for every age-group, a women’s ministry, a monthly men’s breakfast, a Wednesday night Bible club program for children, a Spanish-speaking congregation, and many other ministry/fellowship opportunities.

Today TBC continues to focus on providing sound instruction from the Word of God and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to this community and around the world. You are warmly invited to come and worship with us.
