Because of God's Mercy

O give thanks unto the God of Heaven: for His Mercy endureth for ever (Psalm 136:26).
The pages of time have turned once more, and in the mercy of God, He has granted us another year. Because of GodÕs mercy, in this new year of 2008, we continue to have evidence of His love for us in the Word of God. Here are some of the verses and promises that reveal this truth.
Salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord:
ÒNot by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His Mercy he saved usÓ (Titus 3:5a).
A reason to share the Gospel with others:
ÒHowbeit for this cause I obtained Mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might show forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on Him to life everlastingÓ (1 Timothy 1:16).
The promise that the Lord hears and answers our prayers:
ÒLet us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain Mercy, and find grace to help in time of needÓ (Hebrews 4:16).
Guidance from the Lord for our daily stresses and labors:
ÒBut do thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy nameÕs sake: because thy Mercy is good, deliver thou meÓ (Psalm 109:21).
The promise of Heaven to those who believe!
ÒBut I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the Mercy of God for ever and everÓ (Psalm 52:8).
Let us give thanks for the promises of His Word and rejoice in His infinite mercy.
