purpose
To allow our church family to know each other better so that we can spiritually minister to and with each other better!
participants
Couples who attend TBC who have a desire to minister to others. You choose to participate by signing up in the hallway (singles are also welcome - either alone, or paired with a friend).
method
Each couple will be placed with two other couples in a group of six. Each "six" will meet every other month for a "dinner fellowship" alternating homes each time.
commitment
Signing up indicates a willingness to host one dinner fellowship at your home and to attend two others at the homes of the other two couples during this six-month period (February - July), There's no futher commitment! (Note: if you will not be here in June/July you can still participate - you still have 4 months in which you can meet!
emphasis
This is a dinner fellowship, a time for God's people to draw closer together! The goal is to SERVE and ENCOURAGE OTHERS! It is not a. . .
dinner club - the goal is not to impress with gormet food.
home show - the goal is not to show off your abode or fancy china.
formal evening - no one should dress up - ties are forbidden!
10 Questions
you may have about the TBC 6@6 fellowship, but were afraid to ask!
What if my house or apartment is small?
It's the perfect size!
What if I don't like to cook?
Order pizza!
What about my children?
The goal is to allow our adults to have a relaxing and spiritually edifying time of fellowship. If you need help getting a babysitter, just ask?
What if I tend to be shy - and don't know a lot of people?
This is a great way to start meeting others - and ministering to them!
What if I already have a close circle of Christian friends?
Great - here is a chance to minister to others who might not!
What if I am short on time?
Think of all the time you'll save by eating over at someone else's house two times - and not having to do the dishes! Plus, you're free to leave immediately after dinner!
What if I am paired with a couple that I don't like?
Maybe you'll begin to like them as you begin to serve them!
What if I am paired with a couple that doesn't like me?
Impossible!
Do we have to meet precisely at 6 p.m.?
No! You're free to meet at whatever time best suits your group of "six."
What if I have other questions?
